    Monument to George Washington Bannerman (1790-1873) who was the son of George Bannerman, and grand-son of Charles McGregor Bannerman. Buried in Bannerman Cemetery on So.River about 3 miles southwest of monument (no marker at grave).

    The sword carried by George Washington Bannerman in the War of 1812. It has been in the family ever since, and was passed to our son, John Colin Shaw, by his grandfather Graham Shaw's first cousin, Dr. Jean Wine.
